Notes:
01/07/2017 Happy New Year! This month we did our quarterly house value update based on Zillow. What a dismal estimate. Down about 10% from three months ago. One can only hope that with the economy improving we'll see a bounce back on this some time soon. 01/11/2012 The wife got laid off from her seasonal job, so we are back down to one income. We already notice the loss in income. We have rolled back the 401k to 5%, and the $100 a paycheck pension drain has stopped due to the start of the new year. The first paycheck on 2012 was noticeably larger, which was good. With the start of the new year, we find ourselves already anxious for the tax returns. Typically this yields us about $5k. We hope for a similar return this year. That will pay for new steps (about $1,500) and a couple trips / vacation (about $2000). 01/11/2012 I wonder if we'll break the $500 barrier this year. It's been been a real struggle. 01/27/2012 Downgrade, Downgrade, Downgrade. We're all doomed.
