First Week in Oct: This is the first week for me since I left my w2 job. I am taking some time off to sort matters related to my finances, try to set up a llc to run a investment partnership and help spouse build her business. Lets see how the next 3 months evolve. In terms of markets, the week started with a bang to only end with all air taken out of the rally resulting in a worst one day rally for Oct! SP500 is down almost 24 percent for the year and the pain is no where close to over... though most certainly market is offering opportunity to lap up several high quality stocks at reasonable valuation.
2nd week of Oct: No letting go of market downturn! It is especially hurting me as I am embarking on an entrepreneurial journey and see zero revenue streaming in for a foreseeable future...only way to growth seems to be focusing on frugality for some time to come!
3rd week of Oct: Finally the first Friday of the month when we did not see market carnage.. Is it a sign of a turn around! I sure hope so...
4th and final week of Oct: I got my severance pay and no more W2 income to come for some time!!!Market gods bounced back although a subset of FAANG stocks took quite a significant beating in the past week.. with Meta falling almost 25 %; Google and Amzn falling 10 % on earnings and Microsoft suffering from similar fate! |
