Notes:
1st week of the new year: It began with a bang! Amazing week for my investment portfolio. China opening up gave a nice boost to my china exposure and the jobs number from today gave a nice boost to overall US markets.
2nd week: The market rally continues to a point where I feel, I need to move to cash! The rally so far has been relentless. Certainly helped by CPI inflation numbers which came down to 6.5 % from 7.1 %
3rd Week: For the most part it was a brutal week in the markets, which certainly gave me an opportunity to put some money to work. All the losses for the week were recouped on Friday with Netflix reporting strong numbers for the quarter followed by a strong performance by Ally Financial.
Final Week of Jan: Markets have been on roll this month. 6% gain in SP500 index through end of the day on Friday! Wow .. it almost feels like we are back to the beginning of 2021 euphoria! I really want to take some risk off and move to cash.. will try to do so in the new month!
On a personal note, last week, I finally got some good news on employment and looks like an offer is in the making! Keeping fingers crossed.. This week is it to know whether everything panned out as expected.
