Notes:
I did it. I sold the FAZ (3x Short Financials) for a tidy $400,000 loss. I am duly humbled. And although most of that money was "found money," i.e., I made a total of $365,000 in the past 12 months, I paid taxes on most of that gain. And notwithstanding all this, that's a lot of f'ing money! Ironically, had I held on a little longer, I'd have recovered about $40,000, but whatever. What's done is done. I cannot undo it. It's over. I'll learn from it and move on. The remodel is going well. I am beginning Phase Two, which is a garage / pool house structure, and I get a lot of joy out of the house itself and the project which allows for me to be somewhat creative. Other than that, my businesses are doing very well, and it looks like my total income this year will fall between $600,000 ad $700,000.
