Notes:
Of the two investment properties that I've put on the market, one was only two days away from closing and fell out of escrow and the other is currently in escrow and should close soon (I hope). I've adjusted the prices of the properties accordingly and also to reflect the fact that, both now and in the future, I'm only agreeing to 5% commissions on real estate sales (as opposed to 6% commissions). The fact is, I have not sold a property for 6% total commission in decades, and I just used that number to adjust the value of my properties because it is traditional in this part of the world. Anyway, this had the effect of slightly boosting the value of my primary residence as well. Otherwise, I took a distribution from the law firm and made a little money trading, even though I swore off trading recently. The fact is, it's a hard habit to break. Still, I have a plan to break myself of the habit eventually. Jesus, I sound like a smoker.
