Notes:
A volatile month in the equity markets and rising rates depressed pretty much everything. There was no safe place to hide. As it turns out, however, I've now overpaid my taxes. One thing that most people don't know is how complex taxes are for high-earners who do not have a stable, predictable income. It's a royal pain in the ass just to pay what you owe.

Anyway, we are having a record year, so I'll finish out the year strong (with the help of a tax credit) and, most important, will meet my financial goals for 2018 (which is 10% growth in overall net-worth). This becomes harder each year and might be my last year of double-digit growth.

Now that hurricane season is over, it's time to go sailing.
