Notes:
Another year down. We did fairly well. We did not meet all of our financial goals but we exceeded some. These were our 2011 $ goals: 1) Pay mortgage down down to $239K or less. Blew this one out of the water. Mortgage at $216K 2) Have at least $90K saved for remodel (currently at $50K) We have $80K but stopped saving months ago to pay down mortgage 3) Have at least $165K in retirement. We are about $8k shy of this, b/c we cut way back on retirement (instead investing in our business) and the market was NO HELP. 4) Get small business to the point where its bringing in at least $2000 / month in revenue Brought in over $1700 last month... so VERY CLOSE. 5) Achieve a N.W. greater than $500K Did not reach this goal and I'm a bit bummed about it too. We were about $35K away. I say mainly b/c of down year for market, put more money into business AND had a baby (expensive!) So overall we increased our NW by $65K for the year. I should keep it in perspective and be grateful, that is a great improvement and we also did some wonderful things (like have a baby, spend a month at the beach, start a great business, etc.) So goodbye 2011, hello 2012. We'll set the 2012 goals next month. You know also I'm not valuing our business at anything right now, hopefully it's worth SOMETHING :)
