Notes:
Despite extreme volatility with the stock market with swings of up to 4% on any given day, my portfolio performed fairly well this month. I have nearly all my assets invested in blue chip, dividend-paying stocks and am weathering this economic downturn quite well. I'm continuing to reinvest all my dividends and purchase what I believe to be undervalued dividend-paying stocks faithfully. This month I purchased: 137 shares of General Electric (GE) at $14.79 66 shares of Annaly Capital Management, Inc. (NLY) at $14.94 14 shares of 3M (MMM) at $76.00 This month I sold: 66 shares of Annaly Capital Management, Inc. (NLY) at $16.65 My work began a 401(k) matching plan, so I'm now contributing 20% of my salary (which allows me to contribute nearly $16,000 a year) and am contributing $5,000 a year to the Roth IRA. Doing my best to reach my goal of obtaining a net worth of $150,000 by the age of 30. I'll be 31 in February of 2014 and I believe I can make this goal.
