Notes:
This month myself and a few other guy installed 200 square feet of brick pavers in my front yard. The project reduced my cash reserves by about $1,500 but the project would have otherwise cost an upwards of $4,500 so I suppose it was a good deal. Hopefully it adds value to my home in the long run. The stock market has recently hit all time new highs as well. Consumer optimism has never been higher, which has pushed my account balances higher for better or for worse. Since refinancing my home and subsequently selling all of my taxable account holdings in the stock market, I've decided to increase my 401(k) contributions and opt to not purchase any more dividend-paying stocks in taxable accounts -- at least for the foreseeable future. This has decreased the frequency of receiving dividends, but when they do come in, they're generally larger than what I received in the past. Dividends received during February of 2013: 28Feb2013 MWTIX $7.20 February 2013 totals: $7.20 My 401(k) contributions are currently up to 10% -- plus a 4% match -- and I'm also contributing $5,500 a year to the Roth IRA in 2013. If I haven't already, I'm now fairly confident I'm still on track to reach my goal of obtaining a net worth of $150,000 by the age of 30. I'll be 31 in February of 2014 and I believe I can make this goal. Prediction of net worth change: + $850
