Notes:
Everything is heading SOUTH right now, I am just grateful to have a job! I paid off the last of my 401(k) Home Loan in February so I am super grateful for that! I had unexpected car maintenance to pay for, and had to put it on the credit card since the savings are depleted. Not happy about that at all. On the upside, I can now roll the $2,600 Debt Snowball I was putting on the 401(k) loan onto my credit card and pay that off in full in March. Next, I will re-build my mini-emergency savings and then roll my Debt Snowball onto my student loans. That is the one I really want to attack, but I am losing my sense of urgency and intensity. Need to read the "Total Money Makeover" (Dave Ramsey) again, and get GAZELLE INTENSE! I also need to re-focus on additional income sources. One of my roommates is moving out in May; I will need to replace her, though sometimes I don't feel like doing that either! There is a price to be paid for having tenants, even ones who are clean and pay their rent on time. However, considering the continuing down swing of my homes value (according to Zillow.com, it is down to $280K; folks in the area are giving away houses!, not to mention all the foreclosures) and the retirement account, I at least need to continue to push towards having some money in savings and paying off my debt. I need that extra income to do it.
