Notes:
Home value is hemorrhaging over past month, in spite of what I keep reading about the housing market 'bouncing back'. With a purchase price of $370k and a current value of $191K, it has lost 49% of its value. I did get the bonus, not huge, but definitely helpful. Most of it will go toward holiday shopping and travel, but at least I won't incur any credit card debt. Helped out a family member in trouble in November and also travelled to the Midwest which wasn't cheap. Definitely feel like I'm taking two steps forward and two steps back, but I look forward to things looking up in the new year as far as increased income. My roommate of five years is moving out, and in spite of what I said last month, I think I'm going to enjoy being on my own for awhile. It will force me to look into alternative income sources, and frankly, having her there was really starting to get on my nerves. She seems to be operating under the erroneous presumption that I'm running a B&B; very irritating... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Home value is updated monthly from Zillow.com/Zestimate (Purchase price was $370K in August 2006). Other Mortgage = HELOC/2nd Mortgage
