Notes:
Being a little more realistic about credit card debt. The card I'm *supposed* to payoff everything month seems to be carrying a balance. I tried the envelop method, and it really isn't working for me. I hate carrying cash around and am not being very disciplined with my spending. I think it's worse when I take out cash because I spend that plus still use my debit card. So I'm going to switch my envelop method to putting my receipts into the envelops instead of taking cash out. I'm going to create a menu and shop based on that, bulking up where I can. I've been trying to shop at Wegman's because they have good prices in comparison to the other stores, and their produce and meats are great quality...but the closest one is 15 miles away (mostly highway miles) and there's a Giant right across the street. I've also wasted a bit of food the last few trips, so I need to stick to my menu and shopping list. I'm proud of myself for taking my Apple rebate and applying it directly to the credit card that's financing my Apple purchase. Puts me ahead of schedule for paying that off before the 0% expires. About to take on a small used car loan to get my daughter a vehicle. I'd much rather take a small loan to buy an older used car than let her use mine due to the cost and despair if she kills my car. She will then become my "Go do" slave and run to the store and transport the boys. Ah, first day of school and I'm finally all alone and rambling on to the poor computer...
