Notes:
Time for a midpoint "checkup", so to speak. Looking back at the goals I set for myself at the beginning of the year, I wanted to be debt-free by September 1 with a net worth of $355K and a retirement portfolio of $35K. At the midway point, I am still very much on track to be debt free by September and have increased my mortgage payments to ~$796/week so that the mortgage will be finished with the last scheduled payment on August 29. Additionally, I have ~$23K to go in order to meet my net worth target, which means that I have completed 61.4% of the goal at the midway point and am slightly ahead of pace. I intend to back off somewhat in terms of my additional income so as not to enter the top provincial tax bracket, which is $123,184. Once the mortgage is complete I will begin to contribute aggressively towards my retirement and investment portfolios with my additional cash flow. All would appear to be in order.
