Notes:
As of December 28, 2014 "Cash" = personal cash. "Stocks" = all non-registered equity investments, combined personal and corporate holdings (Canadian/US/International Index Funds & ETFs). "Bonds" = corporate cash (only actual cash, does not include any money in brokerage accounts). "Annuities" = Whole life policy, invested in corporate name. "Retirement" = all registered investments. "Other Assets" = TFSA account.

Nice rebound this month, partially due to funds from work as well as decent rebound in markets after collapsing in December. I invested another $100,000 into the markets with $80,000 into a pair of blue-chip Canadian pipeline companies that crashed with the rest of the market. I'm in it for the long-term, and reinvesting the dividends is huge in terms of helping to make some of those losses on paper a little less painful. This brings my net worth increase for 2014 to $403,759, which is a 30.84% increase compared to January 1, 2014 when I was at $1,309,328.91.

2015 brings new and exciting adventures from a personal and professional standpoint, so I would like to keep my expectations modest for growth in the new year, with the desire to be over $2 million by December 31, 2015. Ideally, I would also like to work towards having a portfolio that generates nearly all of my living income passively through dividend income. At the present time my stock portfolio (I am not counting my index funds and fixed-income assets) generates ~$30K in dividend income passively, which provides a historic yield of 5.02%. Being able to guarantee passive income is going to be a significant component of the "set it and forget it" strategy that I'll continue to employ now and into the future.
