Last NWS entry for 2022. The market giveth and the market taketh--that seems to be the theme this year. :D This was also the year that I entered my 5th decade on this rock we call home, with birthday gifts comprising of a colonoscopy, shingles shots, and other fun preventative medical care reserved for old farts like myself. Still, I'm grateful to have my health, relationships, access to so much knowledge, ability to work from home (and the fact that I didn't retire when the markets were at all time highs). I have learned much about life and myself over the past few decades, and feel happier & more optimistic than ever despite a painful drop in net worth and other challenges thrown my way. I plan to keep working toward my goals in 2023, and strive to be happy with my efforts (which is within my control) regardless of the outcome (which is outside of my control).
