Our hero Bob Brinker retired from radio last month, so now we are flying blind. Bob has taught us a lot over the years. We started listening to him in the early 90s, and have learned a lot. Now we need to use that knowledge to make the best of it in our goal to achieve critical mass.

Our gut tells us that the market has just bottomed out and is about to move higher. We don't have a lot of evidence to back this up, except to say, we've been here before.

Fundamentals in the economy look generally sound - rates are still relatively low, unemployment is at an all time low, and inflation remains under control despite an economy that is firing on all cylinders. All that said, we've been nibbling away at our cash assets over the past few months, making modest purchases when the market moved around or below the 25k level. We have now taken our equity position up to 79%.

We will cross our fingers regarding our recent allocation shift. We'd really love to see our investments push over the $1M mark.

We're taking out lumps, and then some. We have dropped about 90k into the market at what we thought was "the bottom", only to watch the market drop much more. We estimate about a 10k loss on those trades. Humbling. Our entry for January 2018 is not going to be pretty... U-G-L-Y-!!!

Merry Christmas! ;-)
