Can we go back to 2019 please???

On a positive note, I just got an $11k bonus, and $4k in company stock that vests in 24 months. Most of this is headed to money markets.

On a not-so positive note, I got at $27k bonus last year. Two weeks later they laid off a bunch of my co-workers...

We have crawled back over $1M in non real estate assets. :-)

With the market bouncing back to levels seen in 2019, we have sold off some more of our equity holdings, as we attempt to lower our equity exposure to roughly 60%. (now at 68%) This doesn't come without regrets, as we witnessed Apple bounce up $20 a share a few days after we sold our meager holdings.

We don't pretend to have deep knowledge of the market, but do have the experience of being through two Bear markets, and a fair number of corrections. We are going with the premise that what we are witnessing now is a counter trend rally, that will be followed by another drop to test the lows. We will continue to sell into strength with small chunks to help reduce our exposure.

However, let it be known. If testing the lows (S&P - 2337) plays out, we will likely move some of our cash back into equities, and attempt to ride the wave back up.

Currently down $134k from the top in mid-Feb. Up $159k from the bottom in mid-March. Feeling slightly nauseous. Is there a way to get off this ride?

Selling in little bits and pieces as the S&P floats around 2800. Equity holdings are now down to 65%. The urge to move well below 60% grows by the day...

Did I mention there was a layoff at work? I don't know how many more bullets I can dodge...
