Notes:
This month we met with Emilie when we went there to bring the Camry home and discussed her situation with finances. She's in over her head ($8000 credit cards, $10,000 2nd mortgage and $35,000 for her admin degree student loan) totaling over $1300 a month, plus the $200 a month she's already paying us. We decided to loan her $53,000 to cover these with the understanding she will pay us back $200 a month for a year then up it to $500 a month. In two years we are recommending $800 (10 years) a month, but she can keep it at $500 (16 years) or pay it off at any time. This is reflected in Bonds as an asset. I paid $720 for this year's trailer storage rental in Nevada (Ulrich Storage). We purchased 4 zinc plated shelving units with wheels ($400) from Sam's and put them together and put them in our storage room. MS got the things she needs to make Macaroons at Lydia's suggestion. We took up a lot of plastic tubs to her from our storage unit and we also took a number of baskets to Overflow and misc things to Goodwill. We are trying to get our house in order. It's a lot of work. We made chicken chow mein using Brandon's recipe (very good) and egg rolls from a recipe Mary Sue found on the package of egg roll skins, using our new wok. Yum! We decided to charge a late fee ($25) and a no-show fee ($50) at staffs' suggestion to see if we can get a higher show-up rate. Brandon found an office to rent with 16 offices and MS and I went to look at it. Figured out bacon fried rice using Brandon's recipe and light and dark soy sauce. That was very good, too. We drove to CR to look at a 16-office suite for rent in CR and watch Lydia's volleyball. Put linen's in vacuum bags. Brandon signed our intent to rent the 16-office suite. We hosted our Bible Study and afterwards Brad and Jan and Dwight stayed to watch the Chiefs game. I got Covid for a week and was laid up at home the whole time. MS made an office for me in the basement. Emilie also had Covid and recouped in Grand Rapids with Sean. The big news this month is on Sunday, January 30 Marty and Amanda Facetimed Mary Sue and I and announced their engagement! We're so happy for them.
