Notes:
While it doesn't feel like we are saving much it seems we're doing okay as with the ongoing situation we aren't out as much or buying as much so their seems to be a natural increase. No major expenses the last month or so, took a trip locally and stayed at a bed and breakfast which was nice. Everyone in the family is healthy, most everyone is working or at least getting by. I got rid of our oldest car, a 2001, since we got the truck. That cut out an insurance payment and got me money back on registration. I am debating on putting significantly more towards the mortgage, but frankly I like having a large chunk in cash that gives me plenty of options. Also there are some home improvements that we've been itching to get done and money may have to go there in the near future. I went to the Safety Deposit Box to get the title for the car we got rid of and was reminded we've got old EE bonds that are ceasing to earn interest this year and into next. So I pulled a couple that were just expiring and cashed those and I'm planning to slowly cash out the others as they finish their run. It is just a few thousand but it's almost like found money as I add them to the bank accounts. Overall I am looking forward to the holidays at the moment, even though they are likely to be on the quiet side.
