Notes:
I was slightly off on the no big spending in the near future . . . I bought a laptop in early February for about $300, and just dropped $450 on plane tickets to Boston this week - I was accepted to a Ph.D. program and I want to visit the school before I make any decisions. I still haven't heard from Georgetown, which is (probably?) my first choice, but want to visit this school - especially since I have to pay a $400 non-refundable deposit by 24 March to hold my spot. If I visit and hate it, I'll just be out the plane ticket instead of plane ticket + deposit.
