Notes:
Roommate owes +650 for expenses +700 rent. This is going to be a tough month - my lease is up and I'm not sure yet where we are moving. Told roommate that I will keep his half of our deposit to cover expenses, and since I'll probably be paying the whole deposit on the new place, we will start at even and then start over with how much he owes me for non-rent items. I'm looking forward to moving, but rent will go up, which makes me a little nervous. The fact that I put a lot of money into retirement and still watch my retirement accounts decrease regularly doesn't make me feel a lot better - but I'm holding out hope that someday I will believe I it was the best decision. Realized that the impact of having three paychecks in July won't actually be felt until September - since 3rd paycheck from July functions as first paycheck for August, and the same this month, it'll be next month before I get that "extra" in mid-September and will be paid again early enough in October for that September check to not be needed for early October bills. I'm strongly considering taking out a car loan. Part of me feels that this is a really bad idea, but another part of me says I need reliable transportation and my current vehicle isn't going to fall into that category for very much longer. I was hoping to have a decent amount saved up to put toward a down payment, but since I've been contributing more to retirement and will be paying most of the expenses related to our move this month, I'm not going to have as much cash savings as I'd like.
