Going on a spending freeze (more or less) for a few months. Last week I listened to "The Year of Less" (audiobook version) which was poorly written but an interesting idea of having a list of "approved" spending and a list of "cannot buy" and one of "can buy, but only when the old is used up/needs replaced and you get rid of the old."
Although we haven't gone into debt, we haven't been saving much either. Since buying our house in July we have been spending quite a bit on furniture and projects to get the house set up.
I also went a little crazy on holiday gifts, because I could and it's fun. But now that that's over, time to get serious again. :)
