Whelp, I knew I'd get a good socking this month. The misery that is Black Friday was only the beginning. I found deals for both personal and business, as well as gifts for others, so I had to suck it up and take advantage of the deals. That was an easy $1000+ gone.
Not only that, but I had nasal surgery done on the last day of the month. I had put it off for far too many decades, so that was another $1000 expense (courtesy of 20% co-pay). Luckily my nose will recover much faster than the bank account will.
The only saving grace was some nice extra funds, due to a rush of music gigs as well as some freelance work. I don't know how, but I still brought in more money than I spent (barely) so I'm not suffering yet, although cash will definitely take a hit in the new year.
Looking forward to the end of year dividends my retirement will generate, and any remaining year-end freelance jobs to keep me in the black for the month. See you in 2016. |
