Career: Lot's of changes at work lately. My manager changed to be the senior engineer who just became a manager, I'm not super thrilled about the change but I'll get over it. And my tech lead is transferring to another team this month so I'm curious to know who the new tech lead will be. I don't envy either position, it's hard to keep a team of 6 people bush with something all the time.
Life: My parents visited last month, it is hard getting them to realize that this is me and my partner's home and to have them respect the way we do things. I left my parent's home for college when I was 17, and they still feel the need to "parent" me rather than treating me as another adult. I missed last month's entry because I had my hands full with family stuff.
Financial: In May I filed taxes jointly with my partner, which decreased our tax burden.
Health & wellness: I still work out sometimes and I'm going to switch from cardio to strength training soon. My partner cooks more which means we're healthier so I'm happy. |
