Notes:
Career: I'm still putting in a consistent number of hours at work and have made good progress on this quarters tasks. I focused on design work for the past month. Now that I've fleshed out the design for my project (all 27 pages!), I'm starting to actually do the work. It's a lot to do in not so much time so one of my teammates will join the project in a few weeks. I'm glad because not only will working in parallel make the project finish more quickly, but me delegating some of this work to a teammate looks good by "showing leadership skills".

Life: I've been thinking about how much time we actually spend at home through the year, and how much time we can expect to spend in the SF bay area going forward. For the past two years we've consistently spent ~3 weeks staying with each set of parents and ~2 weeks on vacation. This adds up to 2 months of the year away from home. We've both been working from home so we've been in the house 5 days a week for the remaining 10 months of the year, but that will only go down since I will work from the office 3 days a week starting next year. All this to say, I'm increasingly valuing a cheaper space with a shorter commute even if it's smaller since I think we'll mostly just need a house as a place to sleep at night.

Financial: The stock market is back to new highs as usual. Both my partner and I are subject to trading windows which may be longer than the standard 30 days period for closing on a house. So I need to pay attention to these trading windows in order to time selling stock for a down payment. We're staying with relatives this week for Diwali and staying with my parents until Thanksgiving, so this is a problem for another day.

Health & wellness: I'm almost done the Ironborn program from Darebee, and I'm already planning which program to start next. I read the entire Power of Thrift blog and got referred to NerdFitness and NutritionFacts.org. These are both great resources and I'm going to continue going through them, it helps motivate me to eat healthier and keep working out. I'll also encourage my parents to work out more while I stay with them.
