What prompted you to pay off lump sum mortgage down. I am in a similar boat now and trying to figure out the pros and cons of paying of mortgage in its entirety

If I could, I totally would. There is something about being debt free that drives me.

I'm not sure it was the wisest decision financially, but I wanted to be debt-free. I like the feeling that my monthly expenses are super low.
