| October was a correction month for the stock market, plus the home renovation continued. In October, we had a ton of cellulose insulation blown into our attic, taking our R value from 13 up to 49 (from ankle deep up to knee deep), and had the attic floor air sealed. All told, an $1800 investment that should pay for itself in about 3-5 years. Our local electric company pitched in $450 in instant rebates. We can already tell a huge difference in the comfort of our house and time will tell how much money we save. |
