OTHER = Two 529 College Plans Contributed to cash, stocks, retirement and 529 (for 2 sons now). Since interest rates are rising, I decided to sell my bond funds (due to the inverse relationship between interest rates and the value of bond funds). Since the stock market had taken a bit of a dip, I decided to use the proceeds of my bond fund to purchase into the Vanguard 500 Stock ETF. I reassessed the value of our house by using the Zillow Z-Estimate ($810,192) minus a 6% realtor commission. I felt this was a more accurate was of estimating what one would actually net if they sold their house.
