Sell in May and go away? Not this year.

One needs a tough stomach at the moment. With the market down roughly 15% we've been nibbling a bit - putting some of the cash we've had on the sidelines back to work.

We've also done an about face on the TIPS purchase we made with part of our daughters college fund at the start of the year. Her Coverdell account is now 100% in VTSAX.

I'm certain we didn't catch the bottom, but feel good about the move. The fear index has been pretty bearish as of late, and earnings and job growth are still very favorable despite strong and headwinds.
