Just received a 10k bonus check at work. Sadly, most of the money went out the door as quick as it came in. At least we've got ourselves a nice beach house lined up come July...

Getting a painful lesson in bond prices, having shifted 20k of money market funds into a TIPS fund at the start of the year. We are down almost $1k (5%). Ouch. Not sure it's going to get much better with the Fed about to put down the hammer. May consider doing an about face if we see the fund price come back up some. Feeling really dumb right about now about the whole thing.

Updated the home value (which we do quarterly), I sense we are near a top, with rates rising quickly the upward price trend has gotta give soon.

Decided to dip our toe in the Crypto market. Down 8% just like that... Yay! Should have just stuck to my low budget miner. C'est la vie.

Moved half of our daughters TIPS fund to the Total Market fund. Caught the dip perfectly, so hopefully we recover some of those losses now.

The small Crypto account I opened has been a disaster since the get go - we're now down at good 25%. It's basically play money, so no big deal - but it really makes me feel for the young kids that dropped all they have into the stuff. I have no doubt that some of them have been scarred for life at this point.
