Notes:
As I predicted, September markets were crap. So much in fact, that I sold excess index funds on September 1st and let that cash ride in money markets for the entire month before rebalancing back into the main index funds on September 29th. That little maneuver saved me from losing $1,500. Yes, totally market-timing but it worked out in my favor for this round.

I also bought a little more REITs while they were down. Also decided to accelerate Roth IRA contributions and dump the rest of what I could into that fund, so my saving goals for this year are complete.

With the continued elevated interest rates, there's still too much idle money sitting around so I'll be lowering default balance thresholds when 2024 rolls around. Whatever's over that threshold gets thrown into 5% money market.

Spending was up a bit, buying some things for upcoming travel, side hobbies and the business. Need to cool it at this point so I can prep for Black Friday, not that I'm looking to go crazy this season.

Will things turn around in the markets? I now give it permission to do so.
